Boards and Committees

The Town of Searsport's boards and committees are an important part of our municipal government. The Select Board and Town staff rely on their help and expertise to keep our Town's governance effective, responsive, and accountable. Board and committee volunteers lend their advice, skills, and time in service to the Town and serving on a committee provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to your community.

Please take time to submit an application to be considered for appointment on a town board or committee. If the board or committee you are interested in has an opening, your application will be forwarded to the Select Board for consideration. All appointments are at the discretion of the Select Board. There is no residency requirement to serve on a board or committee and anyone with an interest in the Town of Searsport is encouraged to apply. Contact a member of the Select Board with any questions.

Searsport is also in need of assistance with the Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. Please contact the Fire Chief and Public Safety Director for more information.
