Searsport has a rich history. Our residents are proud of the stories and culture we've built and want to show it off. That's why Searsport's Historic Preservation Committee established the Museum in the Streets, with generous support from the Maine Humanities Council, the Davis Family Foundation, The Maine Community Foundation, the Searsport Rotary Club, the Town of Searsport, and the panel sponsors. This program features 17 placards and photographs throughout town. You can start at any point to explore our town's history, all by foot.
