All of these can be taken care of at the Searsport Town Office 1 Union St. between 8:30 and 4 Monday - Friday. Some may be taken care of, on line 24/7, at the links on the right side of our home page.
Where is the recycling station and what are the hours of operation?
The transfer station is located off the Back Searsport Rd. on the Dump Rd.
The hours of operation are: Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday 8am - 5pm
The transfer station is closed all legal holidays
How do I get a Burn Permit?
Burn Permits can only be issued between the hours of 9am and 5 pm the day of the burn.
Call Logan Clark or Adrian Stone at the Fire Station 548.2302.
Burn Permits are also available from this link to the state web site at a cost of $7.00.
Who can I call for animal control?
For animal control please call the Waldo County Police Dispatcher at 338.2040
When are dog registrations due and how can I register?
Licenses are due on December 31st or when a puppy turns 6 months old. Licenses are available at the Searsport Town Office. Please bring the Rabies Certificate with you.
How do I vote?
Voting by ballot takes place at the Searsport Community Building on Prospect Street. Absentee ballots may be obtained at Town Hall, 1 Union Street or online. FMI on absentee voting click here.
