Planning Board

The Planning Board is responsible for reviewing and making decisions on all land use, construction, and development applications requiring Planning Board approval under the provisions of Searsport's Land Use Ordinance.

 

The Planning Board also regularly reviews the Land Use Ordinance and makes recommendations for its revision in response to policy matters or issues of clarity.

 

The Planning Board consists of 5 members and 2 alternate members. Members have terms of 3 years. An alternate member may attend all meetings of the Board and participate in its proceedings, but may vote only when designated by the chairperson to sit for a member.
